brecklundin > My very first red rose shot I enjoyed. There is another red rose in this collection but it was about showing off a pesky aphid problem that plagued me for years until I gave up.

And today by total accident during my afternoon walk I found this fun collection of red petals.

brecklundin > Another yellow rose. I can't seem to get away from these, I guess you would call them sort of, well, heck, I dunno to me they have thorns so they are roses... ;)

But I liked this one and tried to take ad show it off here as close to it looked in person.

brecklundin > I just could not help myself from doing a bit of editing on this rose. I sort of like the end result. I don't think it is an over done style, close but not quite and I am sure there are other edits I could make. But for me, I am currently trying to force myself to keep the edits simple and get and much as possible in the camera.

brecklundin > OK, I apparently have a fondness for a softer look to some of my close-up rose shots. But in my defense I try and balance that in sets of three or four of varying degrees of detail.

I quite like this one but at the same time don't know if it's completely done yet. I am not sure some of the areas of transition between yellow to white are as smooth as I would like. I'll likely work on it a bit then see what happens. In the mean time I hope you enjoy it.
